With people eating out more than ever these days, the retail – food concept is growing in popularity. Stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Hudson’s Bay have added restaurants to appeal to customers. You will also see more and more pop-up eateries showing up in office buildings, outdoor markets, and shopping centers.
Growth of Queen Street West
Toronto’s ‘ Queen st West’, Canada’s coolest retail street, is expected to grow during 2017. While retail growth is expected to be down this year, this area will continue to flourish. Two U.S. retailers will be making their Canadian debut on this trendy street very soon. Customers are predicted to travel from around the country for experience.
Luxury Retail
Toronto will be home to some of the luxury retail growth. Brands such as Hermes, Chanel, Christian Dior and Moncler are all slated to open new locations, while Prada is planning to expand their current store.
